Good luck to
@AudenshawSchool 1st XV scrum half D. Martin who starts for Lancashire against Yorkshire on Sunday
The Audenshaw U14s football campaign started with a win in the National Cup against Altrincham Arts College. Audenshaw dominated possession in the first half of the game while the visitors rarely escaped their half of the pitch. The deadlock was broken by captain Dominic Littlewood with a fierce strike from the edge of the box which rocketed into the top left hand corner. A penalty was won soon afterwards for a foul in the box however Littlewood failed to convert. Rhys Bennett added to the tally before half time to give the home side a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Altrincham created a few good chances but their final product would end up wide of the goal or in the safe hands of goal keeper Jake Harrison. Bennett scored again with other goals coming from Hurd, Illingworth and a sweet left footed effort from Toby Green. Altrincham did manage to spoil the show late on after a well worked move resulted in their striker beating keeper Harrison before the referee called full time. Man of the match was awarded to Adam Poole who worked hard on the left side of midfield and created plenty of chances for the two strikers.
