Chemistry Win for Audenshaw

Audy Students 1st in Salter Chemistry Competition

The Salters Chemistry Festival is national competition for year 8 students, with the north west heat held at the university of Manchester. On Wednesday 13th July Audenshaw school sent a team of 4 talented year 8 science students to represent us in this challenge against schools from all over the reigon. Chevaz, Justin, Lewis and Shay took part in a Forensic science challenge, set by the Salters Institute, and a University based challenge, which was followed by the 'Flash Bang Chemistry Show'. The Audenshaw team were incredible and came home with first prize in the Salters Challenge, with the head judge describing their performance as 'perfect in every area'. Mrs Taylor, who accompanied the boys, said 'This is such a fantastic achievement, I am so proud of our students, they have worked really hard all year in their science lessons and it has paid off.'
