The GCSE Geography course runs over two years with the exams at the end of the second year. The course is separated into 3 areas which are detailed below, there is an exam in each area.

Paper 1 – Living with the physical Environment (35%)

Theme 2 :- Continued from year 10.

Controlled Assessment: - Based on the boards titles: - Venues have included Housing variations in Stalybridge, Service provision in Manchester, Retail provision in Tameside, Leisure in The Peak District.

Theme 3 :-  Industry and employment structures, Development, Trade and fair-trade, Aid and international Aid, Interdependence, Industrial Location, High Tech Industry, Transnational Corporations, Economics and Ecosystems.
